Our Organic Certification Journey (NPOP)

First Year Certification

We are proud to share that our farm is enrolled in the National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP)—India’s official organic certification system under APEDA.

🌿 Our Timeline

• Practicing Organic Farming Since: September 2021

• Joined NPOP Certification Program: January 2024

• Current Status (as of July 2025): Year 2 of the 3-Year Conversion Period

🌾 What is the NPOP Certification?

The NPOP (National Programme for Organic Production) is India’s regulatory framework for organic farming. It ensures that farms adhere to strict standards—prohibiting synthetic inputs, promoting biodiversity, and preserving soil and ecological balance.

Being certified under NPOP means our farm is committed to transparent, traceable, and sustainable organic practices.

🕰 What Does "Year 2 – Conversion" Mean?

As part of the NPOP program, farms undergo a 3-year conversion period to transition from conventional to certified organic farming. Here's what Year 2 represents:

• ✔️ No use of synthetic fertilizers or pesticides

• ✔️ Organic practices fully implemented

• 🔄 Soil and ecosystem recovery in progress

• ❗Produce may not yet carry the full "organic" label but meets most organic integrity benchmarks

🌱 Our Commitment

Even before enrolling in the NPOP program, we’ve been following organic principles since 2021. Our farm practices include:

• Natural composting and bio-inputs

• Crop rotation and intercropping

• Pollinator-friendly farming

• Zero chemical residues
